The Toronto Six have agreed to terms on a one-year deal worth $67,500 with forward and Olympian Leah Lum.
Leah Lum is headed back to Toronto after signing a one-year contract worth $67,500 with the PHF's Six.
Lum scored 14 points in 24 games and also represented Team World at the PHF All-Star game in her first season with the Toronto Six, helping the team win an Isobel Cup.
“I just really loved Toronto this year. I think I came into it with a bit of an open mind after being overseas for many years and I built a home here,” said Lum in a press release. “I’m very very excited to return and I can’t wait to get things going again.”
Away from the Toronto Six, Lum represented China at the 2022 Olympic Games and World Championships. She'll again play for China this summer at the World Championships.
Lum is a skilled playmaker who brings creativity and pace to the ice according to Toronto general manager Angela James.
“Not only does Leah bring speed, tenacity, and goal-scoring capabilities, but she also brings such a fun and happy presence to the locker room and to the team,” said James.
Prior to joining Toronto, Lum spent four seasons with the Vanke Rays, including playing for the team in their final season in the CWHL.
