Emily Rickwood's impact on the blueline extends beyond the stat sheet, and her excitement to show that to Montreal Force fans is palpable.
"Emily Rickwood’s ceiling is high."
Those were the words of Montreal Force president Kevin Raphael when discussing his newest NCAA signee Emily Rickwood, a recent graduate from the University of New Hampshire.
At New Hampshire, Rickwood watched her game evolve from an offensive rushing defender to a well rounded, shot blocking blueliner who can do it all.
"Just becoming a more reliable two-way defender," said Rickwood of her development with the New Hampshire Wildcats.
"Once I'm able to get out onto that ice and hopefully contribute offensively and defensively next year, then that's kind of where people will be able to see it on the ice as opposed to on the stat sheet."
Rickwood, a Brantford, Ontario product, discussed her career to this point, what Montreal Force fans can expect to see from their new blueliner, her excitement to play in the PHF and with the Force.
