    Hamblin notched three goals in two assists in two games last week

    Bakersfield Condors forward James Hamblin has won AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Feb. 9.

    The 25-year-old recorded three goals and two assists in two games last week. 

    On Friday Hamblin recorded and assist and two goals in a loss to the Chicago Wolves, including a tying goal with 16 seconds left.

    On Saturday the Edmonton, Alta., native had a goal and an assist in a 4-0 victory. He recorded 13 shots on goal over the two games. 

    Hamblin is now up to nine goals and 20 points in 21 games this season, his fifth in the Oilers organization. He has 51 goals and 106 points in 188 career AHL games and two goals and three points in 41 career NHL games, all with the Oilers. 

    He is in the first year of a two-year contract he signed in July. 

    Coming out of the AHL All-Star Game the Condors sit seventh in the AHL Pacific Division.
