Milwaukee Admirals forward Cal O'Reilly has become the ninth player in AHL history to play 1000 games.

The 38-year-old reached the milestone on Feb. 20 in a  3-1 loss to the Chicago Wolves.

O'Reilly's 1000 career games have spanned over parts of 18 AHL seasons and eight franchises including the Admirals, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Portland Pirates, Utica Comets, Rochester Americans, Toronto Marlies, Iowa Wild, and Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

The Toronto, Ont., native has 172 goals, 592 assists, and 764 points in his AHL career, placing him 20th on the all-time scoring list.

A fifth round pick of the Nashville Predators in 2005, this is O'Reilly's seventh season and second stint with the organization.

O'Reilly is a five-time AHL All-Star, led the playoffs in assists in 2015, won the Fred T. Hunt Trophy for player who best exemplifies sportsmanship in 2021, and has served as captain for four different AHL franchises.

He has 16 goals and 49 points in 145 career NHL games with the Predators, Phoenix Coyotes, Pittsburgh Penguins, Buffalo Sabres, and Minnesota Wild.
