The white-hot Dallas Stars prospect has two points in his first two NHL games.

It was a very happy birthday for twenty-one-year-old Logan Stankoven, as the highly touted Dallas Stars prospect potted his first goal, and first assist, in only his second National Hockey League game.
Stankoven, who debuted with Dallas on Saturday against the Hurricanes, earned a primary assist on Matt Duchene's power-play marker to tie the game at 7:11 of the first period.
He'd once again even the contest at 18:17 of the second, potting his first NHL goal off a pass from Wyatt Johnson. The Stars would drop the tightly contested match to the Islanders off a Bo Horvat overtime winner.
The second-round selection of the Stars in 2021 is one of the consensus hottest prospects in the game. In his first pro season, Stankoven has lit up the scoresheet for the AHL's Texas Stars, currently leading the league with 57 points in 47 games, 24 of which are goals.
The Kamloops, BC native put up back-to-back high-scoring campaigns for the WHL's Blazers, netting 45 goals and 104 points in 2021-22, following that up with a 34-goal, 97-point outing in his final junior season.
Stankoven has found himself occupying the third line with Jamie Benn and Wyatt Johnson while holding down a spot on the secondary power play for Dallas.
