It was a big night for the goalies ahead of the AHL All-Star Classic on Sunday.

We're hours away from the kick-off of the All-Star Classic festivities in San Jose, and players and clubs were looking to impressive ahead of the marquee event.

Yesterday we outlined a wild 24-hour comeback by the Cleveland Monsters complete with a 9-0 shutout. The theme of big scorers and even bigger goaltender performances carried through the rest of Saturday as several notable netminders turned in inspired performances.

Devon Levi and the Rochester Americans moved past the Laval Rocket 3-1, with Levi putting up 32 saves on 33 shots in the contest. The outing pushed Levi's 23-24 AHL stat line to 3-2 with a 2.41 GAA and .917 SP.

The Hershey Bears continued their potentially historic season, as Hunter Shepard backstopped the Bears to a 4-0 shutout of the struggling Bridgeport Islanders. Shepard stopped all 25 shots he faced for his second shutout of the year, bringing his totals to a stunning 18-2-1 with a 2.15 GAA and .915 SP.

Elsewhere, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins shut down the Lehigh Valley Phantoms 3-1, with goaltender Joel Blomqvist stopping 20 of 21 shots. The 52nd overall draft selection of Pittsburgh in 2020 has a 14-7-3 record with a sturdy 2.08 GAA and .922 SP on the season.

Jack Campbell continued his resurgence with Bakersfield, as the Condors moved past the Texas Stars 2-1. Soup was rock solid in the contest, stopping 36 of 37 shots for his 6th win in his past seven games. He moves to 10-7-0-1 with a 2.90 GAA and .909 SP with one shutout.

The Calgary Wranglers shut down the Ontario Reign off the back of a 26-save performance from Dustin Wolf, banking a 3-1 win. Wolf moves to 18-7-2-4 with a 2.27 GAA, .927 SP and four shutouts.

Finally, on the big-time goalie performance front, Tomas Suchanek stopped 31 of 32 shots as the San Diego Gulls edged the Colorado Eagles 2-1. Suchanek pushed his record on the year to 9-2-2-1 with one shutout, a 2.29 GAA and .924 SP. The undrafted 20-year-old has split time between the AHL and ECHL's Tulsa Oilers this season.
