Owners of the most Calder Cup wins in AHL history, the Hershey Bears look to continue their win streak against the Syracuse Crunch

The Hershey Bears look to become the first team since 2008-09/2009-10 to go back-to-back as Calder Cup Champions. The last team to achieve the feat? The Hershey Bears.

With four league titles in the past decade - and the most ever at 12 - and a stranglehold on the current league lead in points with 36 in 22 games heading into the weekend, the Hershey Bears are as close to a dynasty in the American Hockey League as currently exists.

The Bears, sitting on an 18-4 record and winners of nine straight, have dominated the AHL this season, sitting on a sparkling 74/49 goals for/goals against differential.

The club currently holds one of the hottest goalie tandems in the AHL in the form of rookie Clay Stevenson and Calder Cup MVP Hunter Shepard.

24-year-old Stevenson has been white hot for the Bears, compiling an 8-3 record with three shutouts, a 1.73 GAA and .933 SP.

His partner Shepard has split time between the NHL's Capitals and Hershey, with a 2.66 GAA and .898 SP through 10 games in the AHL.

Offensively, the club is led by 31-year-old veteran Michael Sgarbossa (22 points in 22 games), with strong output from six-year Bear Joe Snively (19 points), West Michigan University alum Ethen Frank (18 points), three-team AHL vet Alex Limoges (17 points) and 22-year-old French export Pierrick Dube (14 points).

The Bears look for their 10th straight win tonight against the Syracuse Crunch.
