A packed schedule across the AHL on Friday, November 3rd mixes surging clubs with those looking for a fresh start

There was only one game on the docket across the AHL yesterday, as the Iowa Wild shut down the Milwaukee Admirals 3-1 on the back of a 30-save performance from goaltender Jesper Wallstedt.

In contrast, a packed schedule headlines a busy Friday to kick-start the AHL weekend.

The action kicks off at 1pm MDT as the red-hot Wranglers (5-0-1-0) take on the struggling Barracuda (1-3-3-0). Daniel Gushchin has been an otherwise bright spot for San Jose with 12 points in seven games. The Wranglers swept all four meetings against the Barracuda last season.

Elsewhere, the Toronto Marlies (4-1-2-0) battle the free-falling Laval Rocket (1-6-1-0), losers of four straight. Despite only scoring five goals in the past three games, the Rocket have found a potent offensive duo in the form of Joshua Roy (12 points) and Lias Andersson (9 points). The Marlies dominated the 2022-23 series between the clubs 6-2. The action kicks off at 7 pm EDT.

The final selection in our spotlighted games sees the rising Hershey Bears, winners of four of their last five contests, meet the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, who have dropped their last two games. The Bears have scored 14 goals opposite only four allowed in their past three games, while the Penguins have only managed four goals in three contests. The game kicks off at 7 pm EDT.
