The Abbotsford Canucks have recalled forward Jermaine Loewen from the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings, it was announced Sunday.
Loewen, a product of Mandeville, Jamaica, started this season with the Wings, collecting two goals and three assists for five points in 20 games.
Drafted by the Dallas Stars in the seventh round of the 2018 NHL Draft, Loewen turned pro in 2019-20 with the Chicago Wolves. Over 174 career AHL regular season games, he has collected nine goals and 24 points.
With Loewen being recalled by Abbotsford, he will get the chance to suit up for the Canucks for the first time this season, having spent 26 games with the team in 2023-24. As someone who can slide up and down a lineup while bringing a mix of power and skill, Loewen will bolster the Canucks' depth.
