The leading scorer in the American Hockey League is returning to the NHL.

Adam Gaudette is heading back to the National Hockey League.

The AHL's leading scorer, who's on a blistering pace with 24 goals through 37 games with the Springfield Thunderbirds, has been recalled to the NHL's St. Louis Blues, the club confirmed on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old is in the midst of his second season in Springfield, where he's put up a near-point-per-game pace of 36 points through 37 games. Gaudette split last season between the Toronto Marlies and Thunderbirds, having previously bounced between NHL markets in Vancouver, Chicago and Ottawa.

A fifth-round draft pick of the Canucks in 2015, Gaudette last appeared in the NHL in the 2021-22 season, where he put up 13 points in 50 games for the Senators.
