AHL All-Star goalie Sebastian Cossa has been recalled by the Detroit Red Wings from their AHL affiliate team, the Grand Rapids Griffins under emergency conditions. In addition, the Red Wings have assigned defenseman Erik Gustafsson to the Griffins.

Cossa has posted a 24-4-3 record with a save percentage of 0.927,  a GAA of 1.99 and recorded five shutouts in 31 appearances with Grand Rapids during the 2025-26 season. He was back-to-back Goalie of the Month for the months of November and December 2025.

The 2021 Draft 15th overall pick has also represented the Griffins at the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic.
