The Anaheim Ducks have assigned goaltender Oscar Dansk to the San Diego Gulls, the team announced Friday.
Dansk, who is in his first year with the Ducks organization, did not see a game with Anaheim during his recall. Across 27 appearances with the Gulls, the 31 year old has posted a 10-10-5 record to go along with a 3.43 GAA and a .886 SP.
Drafted in the second round of the 2012 NHL Draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets, Dansk has appeared in six career NHL games, all of them coming with the Vegas Golden Knights. In those appearances, Dansk posted a 4-1-0 record, a 3.10 GAA and a .906 SP.
With the Ducks recent acquisition of Ville Husso, Dansk may find it hard to see another recall this season due to the logjam in the system. Although his numbers don't jump off the page this season, Dansk has proven to be a reliable AHL starter and is solid depth for any organization to have.
