The Ducks roster is taking shape with the season just around the corner

The Anaheim Ducks have trimmed their roster down to 26 players, the team announced Friday.
The new roster number comes after seven players were re-assigned or released.
Forwards Nathan Gaucher, Sam Colangelo and Nikita Nesterenko were assigned to San Diego, Beckett Sennecke was sent back to juniors, Jansen Harkins was placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment to San Diego while Gustav Lindstrom and Mark Pysyk were released from their PTO.
Although the Ducks struggled last season, they are on the rise with a bunch of young talent either making the jump to the NHL or players taking on bigger roles with the team. While there may still be a couple seasons of growing pains, the Ducks will be a fun team to watch.
