The Buffalo Sabres have swapped goaltenders, recalling Eric Comrie from the AHL while assigning Devon Levi to Rochester.

Eric Comrie has played his way back to the NHL.

The 28-year-old has been recalled by the Buffalo Sabres, with the club sending Devon Levi to the AHL's Rochester Americans.

Levi was outstanding through three games with the Amerks, posting a 1.67 GAA and .951 SP in three starts since being assigned to Rochester on Jan. 1, including a 32-save shutout in his most recent game on Wednesday against Lehigh Valley. 

Comrie had a rough outing through seven games in Buffalo this season, holding a miserable 4.01 GAA and .863 SP. 

Levi returns to the AHL following a two-game run in Rochester in December where the 22-year-old put up a 2.94 GAA and .905 SP in two games with the club. 

Through 19 games with the Sabres Levi has compiled an 8-7-2 record with a 3.32 GAA and .889 SP. He last suited up for Buffalo on January 19th, allowing five goals on 26 shots in a loss to the Seattle Kraken.
