The Calgary Flames have assigned forward Dryden Hunt to the Calgary Wranglers, it was announced Sunday.
Hunt, who was recently called up by the Flames, did not see any game action during his brief time with the big club.
Having played in 12 games for the Wranglers so far this season, Hunt had collected two goals and eight assists for 10 points. The Cranbrook, B.C., product has seen 230 career NHL regular season games over parts of seven seasons and has put up 51 points.
Although Hunt has spent the majority of the past three seasons shuffling between the NHL and AHL, he has shown he can be a solid depth player when given the opportunity to do so. Not afraid to go to the dirty areas and to the front of the net, Hunt will likely see NHL games this season at some point.
