The Vancouver Canucks have assigned forward Riley Patterson to the Abbotsford Canucks for the remainder of the season after Patterson's OHL Niagara IceDogs were swept in the first round of the OHL playoffs by the Barrie Colts.

Abbotsford has four games remaining this season, all on the road.

The 20-year-old had a very successful season in the OHL to say the least, as he scored 84 points (40G, 44A) in 60 games. His 40 goals were tied for third in the league.

The 2024 Draft Canucks fourth-rounder had already signed an entry-level contract with the organization back in September 2025.
