Arnsby just finished a four-year OHL career with the North Bay Battalion
The Charlotte Checkers have signed forward Liam Arnsby to a two-year deal, the team announced Tuesday.
A product of Ajax, Ont., Arnsby spent this past season playing for the North Bay Battalion (OHL) where he had 11 goals and 23 assists for 34 points in 60 regular season games. With the Battalion enjoying a deep run in the playoffs, Arnsby added a further three points in 10 playoff games.
Drafted by the Florida Panthers in the seventh round of the 2022 NHL Draft, Arnsby turns pro after a 215 game OHL career that saw him collect 110 points.
As Arnsby joins the Checkers for the next two seasons, he will be one to watch as he continues to develop. While his offensive totals might not jump off the scoresheet, he is a relentless worker on the ice and never backs down from opponents.
