Guttman just finished his second season in the Blackhawks organization
The Chicago Blackhawks have re-signed forward Cole Guttman to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced Thursday.
The deal will see him make $775,000 at the NHL level.
A product of Northridge, Calif., Guttman split this past season between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Rockford IceHogs. In 27 regular season games with the Blackhawks, he had four goals and four assists for eight points. In 39 games with Rockford, Guttman scored 16 goals and added 24 assists for 40 points.
Drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the sixth round of the 2017 NHL Draft, Guttman spent four years playing with the Denver Pioneers (NCAA) where he had 121 points in 140 games.
Since turning professional, Guttman has consistently gotten better and increased his production at both the AHL and NHL levels. As he heads into training camp in September, it would not be surprising to see him make the team out of camp and stick for good.
