The Chicago Wolves have signed forward Deni Goure to a one-year deal, it was announced Monday.
Goure, who hails from Chatham, Ont., just finished his first season of pro hockey, splitting time between the Calgary Wranglers and the ECHL's Rapid City Rush. Although he was held pointless in his lone AHL appearance, Goure scored 23 goals and added 32 assists for 55 points in 69 regular season ECHL games.
Drafted by the Owen Sound Attack in the first round of the 2019 OHL Priority Selection, Goure spent parts of four seasons with the club before turning pro. Over that span, he collected 102 goals and 149 assists for 251 points in 259 career games.
With Goure heading off to Chicago, he could make some noise in training camp and stick with the team to start the regular season. A difference maker at the ECHL level, Goure should become a full-time AHL player soon enough.
