The Chicago Wolves have signed forward Evan Vierling to a one-year deal, it was announced Thursday,

Vierling, a 2020 fifth round pick of the New York Rangers, spent this past season with the ECHL's Maine Mariners, collecting six goals and 16 assists for 22 points in 21 regular season games. Since turning pro in 2023, Vierling has appeared in eight AHL games (all with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins) and had put up seven points.

Prior to making his way to the AHL, Vierling spent parts of five seasons in the OHL with the Flint Firebirds and the Barrie Colts, scoring 75 goals and adding 138 assists for 213 points in 218 career regular season games. His best offensive season came in his final year where he put up an impressive 95 points in 60 games.

With Vierling moving to the Wolves, he will look to win a spot on the team in training camp. Although he spent the whole year with the Mariners in 2024-25, Vierling has shown he can be a producer at the AHL level and the Wolves' gamble on him could pay off in the long run.
