The Firebirds have won eight straight games

AHL WCF Preview

The Coachella Valley Firebirds have not stopped winning as of late, with their Game 2 victory against the Admirals marking eight straight wins.

As reported by Patrick Williams, the streak stands as the 13th longest in Calder Cup playoff history and the longest since the Toronto Marlies won ten straight in 2018.

Their only loss of the playoffs came in Game 1 of the second round at the hands of the Calgary Wranglers and the Firebirds have been virtually unstoppable since.

Leading the way has been Andrew Poturalski with eight points in nine games. Not far behind him, all with seven points in nine games, are Kole Lind, Max McCormick and Devin Shore.

Even more impressive is the fact that every player who has seen playoff action for the Firebirds has collected at least a point.

The Firebirds have also had great performances between the pipes with Chris Driedger putting together a 2.09 GAA and a .933 SV% through nine games played.

As the Firebirds head into Game 3 against the Admirals on Tuesday, it is hard to see Milwaukee being able to hold them off.
