Dragicevic joined the team after his season with the Tri-City Americans finished

The Coachella Valley Firebirds have released defenseman Lukas Dragicevic from his amateur try-out, it was announced Tuesday.

A 2023 second round pick of the Seattle Kraken, Dragicevic joined the Firebirds after his season with the Tri-City Americans (WHL) was finished.

With the Firebirds, Dragicevic appeared in three regular season games where he collected an assist.

Drafted fourth overall by the Americans in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft, Dragicevic has scored 35 goals and added 126 assists for 161 points in 208 career games.

A smooth-skating defender who sees the game well with the puck, Dragicevic can create opportunities like very few defenders at the WHL level. With him returning to the Americans next year, Dragicevic will only continue to get better.
