Coachella Valley Firebirds Sign Justin Janicke To ATO

The Coachella Valley Firebirds have signed forward Justin Janicke to an amateur try-out, it was announced Saturday. 

A 2021 seventh round pick of the Seattle Kraken, Janicke joins the Firebirds after spending the past four years at the University of Notre Dame. In his senior season this year, he scored 15 goals and added 19 assists for 34 points in 38 games. 

Across 143 career NCAA games, Janicke collected 28 goals and 46 assists for 74 points. Prior to that, he spent two seasons playing for the U.S. NTDP where he had 67 points in 95 games. 

With Janicke joining the Firebirds, he could be a great addition to the team down the stretch. As someone who has gotten better with each passing year in the NCAA, Janicke has the puck skills needed to be a contributor out of the gate.
