San Jose Barracuda forward Collin Graf has been named AHL Rookie of the Month, it was announced Friday.
Graf, who signed with the San Jose Sharks as an undrafted free agent in April, has been on fire to start his first pro season. In seven games played, he has scored three goals and added seven assists for 10 points.
Graf did not have any trouble adjusting to the rigours of the AHL, scoring in the Barracuda's opening game of the season and has registered a point in each outing so far, including a three assist night against the Henderson Silver Knights on Oct. 23.
Before joining the Sharks organization, Graf made a name for himself while playing in the NCAA for Quinnipiac and Union, putting up 54 goals and 76 assists for 130 points in 112 games across three seasons.
With Graf already leading the Barracuda in points and having NHL experience under his belt (he recorded two assists in seven games with the Sharks in 2023-24), it would not be surprising to see him earn a call-up soon.
