The Colorado Eagles have assigned goaltender Jake Barczewski to the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies, it was announced earlier this week.

Barczewski, who is in his first full season of pro hockey, spent the year with the Grizzlies, collecting a record of 16-15-3 to go along with a 3.49 GAA and a .902 SP in 40 appearances. While he was recalled to the Eagles, he never saw a game.

A product of O'Fallon, Mo., Barczewski spent five seasons in the NCAA with Canisius College and the University of Michigan before signing an ATO with the Eagles at the end of last season. Across 137 career games at the collegiate level, Barczewski put up a stat line of 64-56-11, a 2.67 GAA and a .914 SP.

With Barczewski being re-assigned to the Grizzlies, he will likely not see another game this season. Having had a successful first year in pro hockey, Barczewski could attract attention for a team needing depth in their system if does not re-join the Grizzlies.
