The Columbus Blue Jackets have re-signed goaltender Jet Greaves to a two-year deal, the team announced Saturday.
The first year of Greaves' deal is a two-way that will see him make $800,000 at the NHL level. The second year of his deal is a one-way and will see Greaves make $825,000 at the NHL level.
Greaves, who hails from Cambridge, Ont., spent this past season split between the Blue Jackets and the Cleveland Monsters. In nine games with Columbus, he had a 3-6-0 record, a 3.49 GAA and a .908 SV%. With Cleveland, he posted a 30-12-4 record to go along with a 2.93 GAA and a .910 SV% in 46 regular season appearances.
With the Monsters going on an extended run in the Calder Cup playoffs, Greaves was a major factor in them doing so. In 13 playoff appearances, he collected a 8-5-0 record, a 2.17 GAA and a .926 SV%.
While Greaves went undrafted, he has consistently gotten better since joining the Blue Jackets organization in 2021-22. Although he may split starts again between the NHL and AHL next season, Greaves is solid depth for the Blue Jackets if injuries occur.
