Back will be heading into his fourth season since coming to North America
The Dallas Stars have re-signed forward Oskar Back to a one-year, two-way extension, the team announced Tuesday.
A 2018 third-round pick of the Stars, Back suited up for the Texas Stars this past season where he had seven goals and 29 assists for 36 points in 59 regular season games. He added five more points in seven playoff games.
Since coming to North America in 2021, Back has spent all three seasons with Texas. In 196 regular season AHL games, he has 19 goals and 69 assists for 88 points.
As of right now, the Stars have open forward spots for next season. While the Stars will most likely add players via free agency, if Back can impress in training camp, he could potentially find his way onto the team or make his NHL debut in 2024-25.
