The Grand Rapids Griffins have signed defenseman Justice Christensen to a two-year AHL-only contract that will begin in the 2026-27 season.

The 20-year-old produced 48 points (18G, 30A) and a plus-36 rating in 63 regular-season games in the 2025-26 season as captain of the Western Hockey League’s (WHL) Prince Albert Raiders. His 18 goals and plus-36 rating were tied for eighth amongst the league's defensemen.

In his four seasons with the Raiders, he produced 148 points (55G, 93A) in 263 games with a plus-22 rating. In 2023-24, the Red Deer, Alberta native was named to the WHL East Second All-Star Team and in the 2024-25 season, he scored the most goals by a defenseman.
