The Rockford IceHogs have signed forward Dillon Boucher to a one-year deal, it was announced earlier this week.

Boucher, who hails from Head Chezzetcook, N.S., spent the entire 2024-25 season with the ECHL's Wichita Thunder, scoring six goals and adding seven assists for 13 points in 70 regular season games. In a further four playoff games, Boucher scored a goal.

Having turned pro with the Thunder at the end of the 2022-23 season, Boucher has appeared in 151 career ECHL regular season games, accumulating 14 goals and 21 assists for 35 points. Prior to that, Boucher spent parts of five seasons at Dalhousie (U Sports), including the 2020-21 season that was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With Boucher signing a deal with the IceHogs, there is a very real chance he appears in his first AHL game in 2025-26. A physical, skilled forward, Boucher does not shy away from going to the physical areas and could bolster the IceHogs' bottom-six depth if he is able to make an impression.
