Lavoie was claimed by the Vegas Golden Knights Monday

The Edmonton Oilers re-claimed forward Raphael Lavoie on off waivers, it was announced Wednesday.
A member of the Edmonton Oilers organization since he was drafted in 2019, Lavoie was claimed by the Golden Knights on Monday. Vegas proceeded to place him on waivers again but he did not pass through waivers again as they had hoped.
A 2019 second round pick of the Oilers, Lavoie spent time last season with both the Bakersfield Condors and the Oilers. While Lavoie was held pointless in seven games with Edmonton, he collected 28 goals and 22 assists for 50 points in 66 regular season games.
Since turning pro in 2020-21, Lavoie has played in 202 career AHL regular season games, putting up 71 goals and 60 assists for 131 points.
As Lavoie rejoins the Oilers, he should factor into a depth role at sometime during the season. With a team as tight to the cap as the Oilers are, having cheap depth such as Lavoie will only help the team.
