Former Bakersfield Condors defenseman Kyle Mayhew has signed a one-year deal in Germany with Augsburger Panther, it was reported Sunday.

Mayhew, a product of Anaheim Hills, Calif., split time this past season between the Condors and the ECHL's Fort Wayne Komets. In 16 AHL games, Mayhew collected two goals and 10 points while putting up 11 goals and 41 assists for 52 points in 60 ECHL games.

With the Komets having made the playoffs, Mayhew got into 11 games with the team, putting up one goal and eight assists for nine points.

Having turned pro at the end of the 2022-23 season, Mayhew has appeared in 17 career AHL games with the Condors and the Colorado Eagles, putting up 10 points. Before that, Mayhew spent five seasons in the NCAA with the University of Denver.

As Mayhew heads for the DEL, he will likely be able to carry off his impressive offensive numbers onto the bigger ice surface. With more space to maneuver with the puck, Mayhew's game is built for it and he will likely figure into a big role for the Panther.
