O'Connor played for the Eagles from 2018-2020

The Colorado Avalanche have signed former Colorado Eagles forward Logan O'Connor to a six-year extension, the team announced Monday.

O'Connor has one year remaining on his current contract and his new deal will kick during the 2025-26 season. Although the financial details of his new contract were not disclosed, O'Connor will make $1.05 million this season.

O'Connor originally joined the Avs as an undrafted free agent shortly after finishing his NCAA career at the University of Denver.

In 2023-24, the native of Missouri City, Texas, scored 13 goals and added 12 assists for 25 points in 57 regular season games. Since turning pro in 2018, O'Connor has played in 263 NHL regular season games, registering 82 points.

While O'Connor missed the end of last season after undergoing hip surgery, he shouldn't have any difficulties when the puck drops on the 2024-25 season. A high energy player, a healthy season from O'Connor would certainly go a long way for the Avs.
