Forward Ville Koivunen has been recalled by the Pittsburgh Penguins from their AHL affiliate team, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

The 2021 Draft second-rounder of the Carolina Hurricanes has scored 33 points (11G, 22A) in 29 games for the WBS Penguins this season. He is the third-highest scorer on the AHL club.

He has played 41 games at the NHL level, all for Pittsburgh, scoring two goals and 12 assists.
