Wood, 20, is a 2023 15th-overall pick in his first full season with the Preds, scoring 17 points (9G, 8A) in 46 games so far.
The Lethbridge, Alberta native recorded his first career NHL hat trick on Nov. 10 against the Rangers.
Wood has one goal in two games for the Admirals in this season.
