The 18-year-old Nansi, who was a fifth-round pick in the 2025 Draft had spent three seasons with the OHL Owen Sound Attack producing 88 points (20G, 68A) in 175 games. In his most recent season, he scored a personal-best 56 points (13G, 43A) in 67 games. He was tied for 27th in the league in power play points.
Hopkins, an 86th overall pick in the 2025 Draft split the last OHL season as an alternate captain for the Kingston Frontenacs and Guelph Storm and scored 50 points (25G, 25A) in 56 games````.
In his three season in the OHL, he scored 114 points (51G, 63A) in 183 games.
