    Three AHL defenseman and one goaltender have made the cut for Team Canada's 2023 Spengler Cup roster.

    Team Canada has rolled out its 25 man roster for the Spengler Cup, with four American Hockey League talents making the cut.

    Defenseman Dillon Heatherington, Ty Smith and Nicolas Beaudin, as well as goaltender Thomas Milic, have all made the tournament roster. 

    Heatherington, 28, enters his third season with the Belleville Senators. One of the locker-room leaders, the 2013 second rounder has put up two goals and four points through 24 contests.

    Smith, the 17th overall draft selection of the Devils in 2018, enters his second season with the Penguins organization. He's put up a healthy 22 points in 27 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. 

    Beaudin, 24, was drafted 27th overall by the Blackhawks in 2018, spending the better part of four seasons bouncing between Chicago and their AHL affiliate in Rockford. He enters his second season with the Laval Rocket, where he's collected six assists through 13 games. 

    20-year-old Thomas Milic, a fifth rounder of the Jets in 2023, was a standout for the Nordolk Admirals of the ECHL before earning a call-up with the Mannitoba Moose. Through four games with the Moose the World Junior Starter in 2023 has put up 3.74 GAA and .877 SP.
