2026 AHL All-Star goalie Michael DiPietro has been reassigned by the Boston Bruins to their AHL affiliate team, the Providence Bruins.

DiPietro was recalled on an emergency basis on Tuesday and backed up Joonas Korpisalo in Boston's Thursday night tilt against Columbus. He made his NHL debut and made two saves in 6:03 of ice time in the second period after Korpisalo temporarily left the ice following a collision in the crease with Blue Jackets forward Miles Wood.

DiPietro was called up as starting goalie Jeremy Swayman was given the night off to celebrate winning the Olympic gold medal for Team USA this past weekend.
