Rosen collected five points in three games last week

Rochester Americans forward Isak Rosen has been named AHL Player of the Week, it was announced Wednesday.

Rosen, a 2021 first round pick of the Buffalo Sabres, collected five goals in three games last week.

Starting last Wednesday against the Utica Comets, Rosen found the back of the net twice en route to a 7-4 win. In the Americans next game Friday against Syracuse, Rosen found the scoresheet twice as well, extending his multi-goal streak to three games. The second game against the Crunch saw Rosen score the overtime winner in a 4-3 win.

Over 40 games with Rochester this season, Rosen has scored 23 goals and added 16 assists for 39 points. He's also made two appearances with the Sabres, going pointless.

Since coming overseas to join the Sabres organization in 2022, Rosen has played in 173 career AHL regular season games, putting up 57 goals and 126 points.

With his play this season, Rosen recently earned a call-up to the Sabres. As someone who continues to get better every season, Rosen has emerged as an important young piece for Buffalo and should be with them full time in the near future.
