Former San Jose Sharks forward Jacob Peterson has signed a two-year deal with Rogle BK in the SHL, the team announced Sunday.
A native of Lidkoping, Sweden, Peterson spent this past season splittng time between the Sharks and the San Jose Barracuda. In six games with the Sharks, he went pointless. With the Barracuda, Peterson scored nine goals and added 13 assists for 22 points in 40 regular season games.
Drafted by the Dallas Stars in the fifth round of the 2017 NHL Draft, Peterson came to North America prior to the 2021-22 season. In 83 career NHL regular season games, Peterson had 14 goals and 11 assists for 25 points.
While Peterson could impress with Rogle and get another NHL offer it is unlikely thats he returns to North America. As Peterson returns to his home country, he will spend the next few seasons being an important offensive option for Rogle.
