The Lehigh Valley Phantoms have recalled goaltender Keith Petruzzelli from the ECHL's Reading Royals, it was announced Sunday.

Petruzzelli, in his first season in the Philadelphia Flyers organization, has seen time at both the AHL and ECHL levels this year. In six games with the Phantoms, he has posted a record of 3-3-0 along with a 3.21 GAA and a .887 SP. Across 34 regular season games with the Royals, Petruzzelli collected a statline of 14-16-4, a 3.12 GAA and a .901 SP.

Having been back and forth between levels during the playoffs, Petruzzelli has only appeared seen game action with the Royals, going 0-3 along with a 3.43 GAA and a .906 SP. Since turning pro in 2021-22, Petruzzelli has played in 53 career AHL games with the Phantoms and the Toronto Marlies, putting up a 3.17 GAA and a .893 SP.

With Petruzzelli being recalled again from the ECHL, he will likely serve as a depth option for the team. With the Phantoms currently facing off against the Hershey Bears, they will need to be at the top of their games if they want to eliminate the reigning Calder Cup champions.
