Minnesota Wild Assign Marat Khusnutdinov To Iowa

The Minnesota Wild have assigned forward Marat Khusnutdinov to the Iowa Wild, the team announced Saturday.

Khusnutdinov, a 2020 second round pick of the Wild, has spent the entire season to date with Minnesota, collecting seven points in 57 games. Across 73 career NHL regular season games over two seasons, Khustnutdinov has put up 11 points.

Prior to making his way to North America, Khusnutdinov spent parts of four seasons playing in the KHL, accumulating 22 goals and 53 assists for 75 points in 162 regular season games.

Having never appeared in an AHL game, Khusnutdinov will likely play a prominent role with Iowa. A smart, hard working player, Khusnutdinov has showcased his talents in his short time with the Wild and is an important player as they head into the future.
