Reinbacher should be a key contributor as the Rocket make a playoff push.

David Reinbacher will get his first taste of the Ameircan Hockey League.

The fifth overall draft pick in 2023 for the Montreal Canadiens, Reinbacher has been assigned by the Habs to their AHL affiliate in Laval.

The 6 foot 3 19-year-old blueliner has spent the last two seasons with Kloten HC of the Swiss-A league, where he's notched a goal and ten assists in 35 games this season, following up a 22 point campaign in 2022-23.

Signed to a three-year entry level contract by Montreal this past summer, Reinbacher represented Austria at the 2022 and 2023 IIHF World Junior Championships.

The Laval Rocket currently sit sixth in the North Division with 62 points and are battling for a slot in the upcoming Calder Cup playoffs.
