The Montreal Canadiens have loaned defenseman David Reinbacher to the Laval Rocket, the team announced Wednesday.

Reinbacher, the Canadiens 2023 first round pick, has seen one game this season - coming Wednesday night with the Rocket - due to having suffered a knee injury in September that required surgery.

With 2023-24 being his first season experiencing North American pro hockey, Reinbacher got into 11 games with the Rocket, collecting two goals and five points. Prior to coming overseas last year, Reinbacher started the season with EHC Kloten (NL), accumulating 11 points across 35 regular season games.

With Reinbacher back to being healthy, it is a good sign for the Habs. Although he has missed key development time with the injury, Reinbacher still has the talents needed to make the jump to the NHL, which could result in him making his NHL debut in the coming weeks.
