The Nashville Predators have assigned forward Austin Roest from the WHL's Everett Silvertips to the Milwaukee Admirals, it was announced Thursday.
Roest, a 2023 sixth round pick of the Predators, recently finished his fourth full season with the Silvertips. Having sustained an injury in September, Roest only got into seven regular season games, collecting three goals and four assists for seven points. Having also appeared in the playoffs for Everett, Roest put up seven goals and 12 assists for 19 points in 13 games.
Drafted by the Silvertips in the third round of the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft, Roest has put up great offensive numbers over his entire junior career, collecting 89 goals and 107 assists for 196 points in 210 career regular season games.
With Roest having fully completed his rehabilitation from his injury, he now gets his first exposure to the rigours of pro hockey. Having established himself as a solid prospect in the Predators system, he should be able to make an impact in the playoffs before likely becoming a full-time member of the team next year.
