The New Jersey Devils announced they have signed defenseman and 2020 fourth round draft pick Ethan Edwards to a two-year entry level deal that begins in the 2025-26 season.

Edwards will join New Jersey's AHL affiliate Utica Comets on a Standard Player Contract for the remainder of the season.

The 22-year-old recorded five goals and 16 assists in 36 games for the University of Michigan Wolverines this season.

The Grand Prairie, Alta., native racked up 15 goals and 56 points in 130 games over four NCAA seasons with Michigan, capturing the 2022 and 2023 Big Ten Championships.

A smooth skater who is not afraid to mix it up, Edwards will join former Wolverines teammate Seamus Casey in Utica as he looks to transition to the pro game.
