Former IK Oskarshamn forward Nolan Walker has signed a one-year deal with the AHL's Abbotsford Canucks, it was announced last week.
Walker, who hails from Anchorage, Alaska, spent the entire 2024-25 season playing for IK Oskarshamn, scoring 11 goals and adding 23 assists for 34 points in 51 regular season games. Before heading overseas, Walker spent time playing in the AHL and ECHL.
While he has only played in four career AHL games, Walker has found success at the ECHL level since turning pro in 2022. Across a total of 131 career regular season games between the Newfoundland Growlers and the Kansas City Mavericks, Walker has accumulated 49 goals and 60 assists for 109 points.
With Walker making his way back to North America, he could have the chance to earn a longer look at the AHL level. Having proven to be a dominant force at the ECHL level already, Walker seems ready to take the next step in his career.
