The Ontario Reign have signed forward Kenta Isogai to a two-year deal, the team announced Wednesday.
Isogai, a product of Nagano, Japan, split the 2024-25 season with the WHL's Wenatchee Wild and the Victoria Royals. Over a combined 59 regular-season games, he scored 32 goals and added 46 assists for 78 points. With the Royals making a run in the playoffs, Isogai contributed six goals and 17 points in 11 games.
Since coming over the North America in 2020, Isogai has also spent time playing in the USHL with the Youngstown Phantoms. Over three seasons with the team, he accumulated 29 goals and 73 points in 163 career regular-season games.
With Isogai signing with the Reign, they will be getting a player who is always a threat to create with the puck on his stick. Although it is yet to be seen whether he will spend the entire year with the Reign, Isogai's skills should allow him to translate to whatever level he plays at.
