The Ottawa Senators have assigned forward Stephen Halliday to the Belleville Senators, it was announced Tuesday.
Halliday, a 2022 fourth round pick of the Senators, did not see a game with the Senators during his recall but has put up impressive numbers with Belleville in his first full pro season. Across 59 games, he has scored 15 goals and added 28 assists for 43 points.
A product of Ajax, Ont., Halliday spent two seasons at Ohio State before turning pro at the end of last year. Before his NCAA career, Halliday spent time playing in the USHL with the Central Illinois Flying Aces and the Dubuque Fighting Saints.
As Halliday continues to develop, he looks like he will be a full-time Ottawa Senator in the near future. With the ability to make a difference with and without the puck on his stick, Haliday has not missed a beat this season and will make Sens fans excited when he makes the jump.
