The Rochester Americans have signed forward Brendan Harris, Inside AHL Hockey's Tony Androckitis reported Thursday.
Harris, who hails from Port Jefferson, N.Y., spent the 2023-24 season playing for the Jacksonville Icemen (ECHL) and the Cleveland Monsters. In three games with Cleveland, Harris went pointless. With Jacksonville, he scored 21 goals and added 45 assists for 66 points in 66 regular season games.
Before turning pro at the end of the 2020-21 season, Harris spent parts of four seasons at Bemidji State where he collected 17 goals and 39 assists for 56 points in 104 career games.
With Harris seeing the AHL level for the first time this past season, it seems like it is a sign of things to come. Harris has proven that he is a solid ECHL player and deserves a look in the AHL. After signing with the Americans, he should have a solid chance at sticking with the club in training camp.
