Maksimovich spent the majority of the season playing for the Indy Fuel in the ECHL

The Rockford IceHogs have re-signed forward Kyle Maksimovich to a one-year extension, the team announced Monday.

A native of Hamilton, Ont., Maksimovich spent the majority of this past season playing for the Indy Fuel (ECHL) where he scored 26 goals and added 33 assists for 59 points in 67 games. Maksimovich also appeared in one regular season game for the IceHogs where he went pointless.

Prior to turning pro at the end of the 2022-23 season, Maksimovich played three seasons with the University of Prince Edward Island (USports), collecting 87 points in 78 regular season games.

As Maksimovich extends another year with the IceHogs, he could stand a good chance at making the team out of training camp. He proved to be a difference maker at the ECHL level and deserves a shot to see what he can do in the AHL.
